HKS downpipes are designed to increase exhaust gas flow and efficiency allowing quicker turbo spool up. All HKS downpipes are manufactured using the same mandrel bending process that is used in the manufacture of all HKS exhaust systems. Mandrel bending is used to ensure that the pipe diameter remains uniform throughout the entire length of the downpipe. HKS downpipes are designed to mount to factory turbo/extensions or to HKS turbo upgrade kits or extension kits.

HKS blow off valve or BOV, Super SQV3

The unique patented design of the Super Power Flow combats the tendency of airflow to move towards surface areas that generate turbulence and reduce airflow capacity. This is a typical weakness of box type designs. The HKS design; with its vacuum inducing inner lip, draws air in from the filters outer edge and directs air away from inlet throat surfaces. As a result, turbulence is minimised, producing smoother and more even airflow with increased velocity and optimises air/fuel atomisation. The benefits of this are improved throttle response, horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency.

The HKS Racing Suction Kit uses knowledge and technology gained from its close relative the Super Power Flow, but has improved upon it dramatically. The HKS Racing Suction Kit utilises the same power flow head as the Super Power Flow Kit, which maximises performance, mainly due to the unique internal funnel design. This creates a controlled vacuum that draws air from the outer edges of the filter increasing airflow and performance. Air taken in from the intake is directed to the engine with minimum resistance aimed at giving maximum intake efficiency within the limited space available in the engine bay. Standard factory pipes can cause massive turbulence in the intake system because they are usually made with convoluted piping. The aluminium pipes within the HKS kit improve engine response by creating a smooth undisturbed flow of air. The HKS Racing Suction Kit not only improves on power but also looks great in the engine bay.
