Aimed at the Club and Professional Motorsport Racer, and everyday car user, a system designed to eliminate the need for any direct cabling from your Steering Wheel buttons to your peripherals.

The Club Spec 4S uses short range radio frequencies (RF) to ensure that a clear, uninterrupted signal is passed from your Steering Wheel Buttons to the Receiver Module irrespective of mounting position.

Unlike Infra Red, the system requires no line of sight, so it can be placed under the dashboard and out of sight. The Club Spec 4S features a black, professionally finished - incredibly light and strong FR4 PCB Button Panel Assembly with 4 coloured buttons pre-installed.

The X-Monitor SP1 large Digit timer is integrated right into the button plate with a separate dedicated button, and a selectable 12 volt 4 Channel Receiver Module thats capable of switching the 10 amp relays into three different states. You can select ALL momentary, ALL latching or 2 Momentary and 2 Latching.

The Racing Beat RX-8 Race Exhaust System is a lightweight exhaust system that is intended for street or race applications. Originally designed to meet the demands of RX-8 autocross racers, this system is significantly lighter than the stock system and has been designed to meet a race track imposed 92db sound limit*.

RX-8 Header*

The Racing Beat RX-8 header is constructed using 100% stainless steel for superior quality, performance and appearance. Our exclusive cast stainless-steel mounting flange has been designed to allow the smooth transition of the exhaust gas flow from the engine to the primary tubing. Incorporated into the flange design are critical emission control air passages that were included on the OEM flange design. These small passages allow air to be pumped into the exhaust ports to aid in more efficient catalytic converter function. While this header is not considered “emissions legal” for street use, our header does not remove any catalytic converters, and is equipped with an oxygen sensor fitting and retains all emissions control functionality.

The Racing Beat Header utilizes 1.75” OD, 14 gauge (.083"), mandrel-bent, 304 stainless steel tubing and features an exclusive Racing Beat engine-to-header flange. All required mounting hardware, an outlet gasket, and instructions are included. A engine-to-header gasket is NOT supplied with the kit, but the stock unit can be re-used unless it shows signs or damage, leakage, or extended wear.

As developed and tested on our engine dyno, the Racing Beat header produced a peak horsepower improvement of over 4 HP. For a larger photo of this header, click here.

We are often asked about "heat wrapping" a header as a method to reduce heat in the engine bay. We do not recommend wraping the header. Even though RX8 exhaust temperatures are not as high as other rotary applications, wrapping a stainless steel header will accelerate fatigue in the metal. A better answer is to use heat shields that do not reduce airflow around the header.

RX-8 Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe*
2004-08 – All Models

Racing Beat offers a full 304-stainless steel catalytic converter replacement pipe for RX-8 racing applications. The weight of this pipe is 10 lbs. This mandrel-bent 3” OD racing pipe is a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock catalytic converter section. This pipe utilizes a genuine OEM rear mounting flange for a secure fit to the stock (or an aftermarket) exhaust system. (See photo below.) The race pipe is equipped with a sensor fitting for the oxygen sensor. (Note: Placement of the sensor in the pipe will cause the “check engine” light to be illuminated, but performance and engine systems will not be affected.) Removal of the OE catalytic converter/presilencer section will result in a noticeably louder exhaust tone.

RX-8 owners have discovered that a installing a non-resonated catalytic converter pipe on a RX-8 can produce a surprising loud exhaust tone. If you require a more modest, quieter exhaust tone, then the Racing Beat Resonated Pipe is your answer.

Racing Beat offers a 3" OD fully stainless steel catalytic converter replacement pipe with dual resonators for RX-8 racing applications. Fitted with two (2) specially designed resonator units specifically for the RX-8 chassis. Both our resonated and non-resonated pipe versions are direct bolt-on replacements for the stock catalytic converter section. Racing Beat replacement pipes utilize a genuine Mazda OEM rear mounting flange that ensures a secure fit to the stock (or an aftermarket) exhaust system. Each replacement pipe is equipped with a sensor fitting for the oxygen sensor. This engine-to-header flange can be used to fabricate a custom exhaust system for a Renesis13B engine. This sand-cast flange incorporates the OE exhaust air injection ports which are critcal for correct emissions operations. If you are utilizing this flange for the devlopment of a racing or off-road header we offer an optional coverplate that can be used to seal the air injection port inlet. Supplied with this header are four (4) stainless steel plugs that are needed to seal openings in this casting. (The openings are a result of the machining process required for the air injection supply configuration. These openings are normally sealed when this flange is used during the assembly of our RX-8 header.)
